Wheat Rust Toolbox

The Global Rust Reference Centre (GRRC) is actively involved in the Durable Rust Resistance in Wheat project (DRRW) that is a component of the Borlaug Global Rust Initiative (BGRI). Within the framework of the DRRW project, the Global Cereal Rust Monitoring System (GCRMS) was established to survey and monitor the spread of aggressive strains of stem rust. Working with both FAO and CIMMYT we developed the Wheat Rust Toolbox as a database and a web platform including tools for data upload, storage, analysis and display of the data generated in this project.

All tools generated online from the toolbox, are available on this page in stand-alone versions, but they will be integrated with other information and disseminated via the GCRMS information system - Rust Tracker and at FAO, Wheat Rust Disease Global Programme.

The development of the Wheat Rust Tolbox was co-financed by International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
